Young 'forget Jesus at Christmas'
Submitted by pastordale on Tue, 2006-12-19 20:16.
Fewer than half of children aged seven to 11 think Christmas is about the birth of Jesus, a survey suggests. No big surprise there. The interesting thing was that most thought it was something about being nice to each other or giving. That's what happens when you understand "Peace on earth;good will to men," as a command instead of God's attitude toward us. It's a Gospel thing, not Law. But we shouldn't expect the world to get that.
