A church pastor in Long Beach said he will defy orders to stop allowing homeless people to sleep outside his church, it was reported Monday.

First Congregational Church of Long Beach and Senior Pastor Jerry Stinson face fines of $1,000 per day for allowing the homeless to have a modicum of shelter.
