A United Methodist congregation in Sydney, Ohio is taking Christ's command to go into the highways and hedges quite seriously. On Sunday nights, the church is holding services in a local bar. "The idea behind the new Country Rock Church in the Pub Lounge is to reach people where they are," said Chris Heckaman, pastor of Sydney United Methodist Church in a story in the Dayton Daily News. "Jesus never formed a church. He never built a building. We're not trying to win people over to church culture. We want to minister to them where they are."
